What is TejRe?

TejRe is a web-based SaaS platform which enables automatic and quick placement of facultative reinsurance transactions.

Which Lines of Business can be transacted over TejRe?

- Presently the platform offers the lines of Property, Business Interruption, Construction All Risk and Erection All Risk
- Marine forms are under development
- In the future, Liability forms will also be introduced on the platform

How does TejRe works?

It allows participating insurers to exchange underwriting capacities by providing automatic reciprocal reinsurance through pre-defined minimum level agreements.

Does TejRe guarantee complete reinsurance placement?

No. The reinsurance placement will be done as per the capacity commitments of each participant at the time of setting up the platform.

Is TejRe a reinsurance broker or an InsureTech Platform?

TejRe is an InsureTech platform. It does not provide the services of a reinsurance broker

Is TejRe involved in receiving and distribution of monies between participants?

No. TejRe does not manage the collection and distribution of monies.

What transactions are performed over TejRe platform?

The platform can be used for placement of facultative proportional reinsurance transactions. These transactions can be further modified or cancelled. The platform also provides support on claim intimation and document handling.

Do I have to pay for asking for a free demonstration about TejRe?

Is TejRe a web program, software, API?

TejRe is an independent platform which is deployed over cloud.

Do you provide training for your clients after setting up the platform?

Yes. We provide online training to induct insurance companies on the platform followed by a testing period. We also provide remote assistance during the initial set-up phase.

Does TejRe require IT integration with existing systems?

No specific integration is required to use TejRe platform. It works from the cloud so all you need is a good internet connection and a browser.

Can TejRe be accessed via a handheld device ?

No, presently TejRe is a web-based application only and cannot be accessed via hand-held device.

How many languages are configured on the platform?

Currently, the platform is available only in the English language.

Does TejRe provide remote troubleshooting and customer support?

Yes. The support is available 24X7.

How do we know when the platform is updated?

TejRe platform is routinely auto updated and with every updation you will receive a notification.

What is the availability/ downtime of the platform?

The platform is available 24X7 without interruption.

Is there a lock-in period for using TejRe?

No. It is absolutely flexible. You can join and leave anytime. However, since the platform involves reinsurance transactions, the commitment on the contracts signed before leaving the platform will run their natural course with attached liabilities and performances.

Is there a limitation on the number of transactions that can be executed on TejRe?

No. There are no such limitations. However, if there is any breach of condition by any member, then the platform can block such member from participating in any future transactions.

What is the usage license policy of Tejre?

 

Do you have a local office I can visit?

No. We are presently incorporated in India.

Is TejRe GDPR compliant?

Who will resolve the disputes that arise between participating insurers?

The constituent Management Committee will arbitrate the disputes. Any unsettled disputes can then follow the usual legal process of the country.

What is the cost of TejRe Platform?

Fee is based on per transaction basis. Let us talk more to discover how TejRe works.

Is data on TejRe Platform secure?

Yes. All data on the platform is encrypted.

Can I modify my commitments on the platform anytime?

Yes. However, it may require Management Committee’s approval in certain cases.

Can I edit a transaction that is already placed?

No. You will have to cancel and re-enter the entire transaction.

What is the method of account settlement?

Settlement of accounts would be through weekly or monthly bordereaux system, as per decisions of The Management Committee.
